Sometimes i pick something out of their concept
I am new to homeschooling. Just finishing up my first year with my preschooler so didn't feel like we needed a curriculum but know I am freaking out that I don't have one for his kindergarten.
There are great books (I found one at my local library) with questionnaires for determining the style for learning best for your family. Once you get a few starting ideas, buy used! Keep eyes open in thrift shops, children's consignment sales/stores, public library used book sales. Buy/sale on online auction sites. Resell what you don't need or like. Don't feel beholden to one company or package...a wonderful thing about homeschooling is you can mix and match resources, or change midstream if something is a poor fit. And don't forget the local library for supplemental materials; even small town libraries may be able to borrow from other libraries for you.
