Have Legal Questions?
Because each state has different laws, we work to make sure our members have the most up-to-date information and policies that apply to them. We’re here to provide the protection you need, so you can focus on what you love — your family.
Need Practical Help?
When you call HSLDA, you are talking to a team of fellow homeschool parents and homeschool grads. Let us put your worries to rest and equip you for success. Get customized and practical advice that works for you.
Dont worry so much about if your child learns reading as fast as you THINK they should or how fast the "experts" say they should. Let them learn at their own pace and enjoy themselves more.
You've got this!
First year is the hardest. Let go of public school and thinking you’ll be behind. It’s a transition in so many ways you may not even realize, just embrace it and move with it. Enjoy the flexibility you have!! Cut the math assignments in half instead of spending way too long on math. They’ll get it eventually and won’t get it any quicker with a billion problems. If I just did that alone my first year would have been way easier.
