We have a theme each ear because we dont like typical Thanksgiving food. We tell the story of how and when Thanksgiving day really began and how the stort of the pilgrims eating thanksgiving with the indians is false and we pray together and go around the table saying what we are thankful for.
We go around the table and each person will say one thing they are thankful for.
This is something I just started brainstorming this year. My oldest is 2 and I realized that society is really bad about just skipping over Thanksgiving and going straight to Christmas. Black Friday even gets more attention. It really bothers me that that is the world my kids are being raised in, so I am starting to put together some ideas for next year to make sure that doesn't happen in our house! One of the joys of homeschooling is that I can choose what they are exposed to!!! I look forward to reading other people's ideas and getting some inspiration for my new mission!!!
