Lots of craft/art and science projects. Lots and lots of books and audio books.
I love 3-ring binders and plastic sheet protectors! They are perfect for organizing EVERYTHING. I use one for each child as our Assessment Book for the end of the year. I use one to keep samples of each grade level of work for my own reminiscing. I use one for a Permanent Record book for each child. This includes the district's acceptance letter and the signed assessment for each year, a list of skills learned, paid jobs, volunteering, letters of recommendation, transcripts and even medical information. Then, too, the sheet protectors are great when using with dry erase markers. Just insert math practice sheets inside and let the kids write the answers on the outside. And finally I use a huge binder to collect all my home-schooling wisdom I've gained over the years. I have a section for Why We Homeschool, book lists and resources like HSLDA , print-outs, curriculum ideas, motivational quotes, etc.
All of the books! We love books but our house is only so big so an unlimited book budget would be amazing :) Thank God for libraries.
