We've always lived in large cities, but are now living in an area which is rather small, with little to offer, & about 1 hr. from a large city. We've found one thing for our children to be a part of & they love it. We've found the only option for a church, which we've joined, but it's small & cliquish. I have no real friends & the ones I do have live very far away & are too busy most of the time to talk; they'll text from time to time, but that's it.
I need help finding homeschool groups so i can meet up with other parents so my kids have a outlet with free P:E and also play time.I live in slidell louisiana and i have two kids ages 6 and 11.
My son was part of a co-op for the past two years. It keeps getting more and more expensive. Now it's starting to seem like the politics there are getting to be too much as well. My son is very socially-motivated. I'm not sure how to keep him growing in some of his gifts without that. There doesn't seem to be a lot of options regarding co-ops around where we live.
