Best thing is to prevent meltdowns by avoiding over scheduling. When not possible, try to find a quiet place for them to rest and regroup.
I try to structure the day with downtime so my little one has some free time to relax ,play,read a book so he does not become so overwhelmed.
I always allow my children to have a bad emotional day but in a constructive way. I pull them to the side and discuss the problem. I offer reassurance, prayer, and positive words of encouragement.
