Maybe moreso than some others as one of my children has special needs. Nay-sayers don't usually know our schedule, social life, sports, responsibilities, etc. We are SO MUCH better off now - she shows tremendous improvement in her quantity of education and quality of life overall!
Yes! I actually don’t say much just listen- seems everyone starts talking about all the pressures of public school and the bad influences... then I just have to say, “Yes, that’s why we homeschool!” 😀
In the beginning, I always went to the most detail of why I do, now I just tell people I enjoy spending time with my children and not pawning them off so I can have me time and tell myself they need socializing to make myself feel better. Shuts them up Everytime.
