I'm happy with the mix we ended up with. For every opportunity that I think back on and wish we would have done....I start thinking about the family time that would have had to be given up in order for that dream to come true.
There are a few things I look back at and am glad that my parents did not encourage me in or allow me to do. They did try to encourage us and give us opportunities to do things.
Owning a horse and competing in jumper class. Going to Europe . As I look back on these dreams I am so glad they did not get fulfilled, because I know God's sovereign plan for me was best. Who knows? Maybe I would have been thrown from the horse and paralyzed (I was a pretty fearless rider). Or maybe the trip to Europe would have resulted in something else harmful? I cannot be bitter about missed opportunities, because I trust my Good Heavenly Father.
