Unfortunately, MY neighbors just aren't THOSE kind of neighbors. In today's world so many people just want to be left alone. :( However, my mom really made it a tradition to have a neighborhood block party. She always knew just how to draw people out and show them a good time. I would love to be able to do that in my neighborhood and highly recommend it.
Our annual block party is amazing, but we also meet at the local beer garden, we all attend all kid birthday parties and celebrate holidays like the 4th of July, Halloween & Las Posadas, we take a camping trip each summer, we also have potlucks for other things like STEAM nights, the men go to whiskey club and the women get together for cocktails...
For awhile there were a few kids that came over and played in our backyard with my kids. They jumped on the trampoline and played with the toys we have out there. But, they moved and there are no other kids my children’s age close by.
